Shahid Kapoor  is one of the most physically fit actors in the B-town. Not only does he sport a six-pack, he can also boast of a chiseled male body, something which several men dream of. In the movie ‘Chance pe Dance’ (released in January 2010) he looked more muscles than before. The actor went beyond the six pack and flaunted an eight pack and looked more muscles than before.
So what is it which helps Shahid maintain such a great physique? His feat becomes even more commendable because he has achieved this sculpted body while thriving on a strict vegetarian diet. MensXP divulges some of Shahid Kapoor’s precious fitness secrets:

Exercise: “I surely make it a point to exercise on the treadmill at least 15 minutes daily. I also try and workout one part of the body each day and if I am lucky enough to have time, I workout two parts,” says Shahid. In order to attain a physique like Shahid, it’s extremely important that that you incorporate exercising in your daily routine. A fine balance between cardiovascular exercise and weight training is needed to get that chiseled body. Shahid maintains that Abbas Ali, his fitness trainer has been instrumental in helping him build this physique. He says he doesn’t have a gym at home but this doesn’t stop him from doing the workout.
Nutrition and Diet: A challenging workout must be accompanied by a balanced and nutritious diet which has nutrients like protein, carbohydrates, and fats in right quantities. Shahid makes sure he gets the right breakfast, pre-workout snack, post-workout snack, and meals through the day. Shahid elaborates, “I avoid fried foods and too much of aerated drinks. Oily, greasy stuff is a big `NO’ as far as my daily dietary intake is concerned.” Shahid is a proud vegetarian and eats every three hours during the day.

Shahid has candidly admitted that he finds it difficult to maintain his physique while on a vegetarian diet. But that the same time, he is more than willing to walk that extra distance because of his hate for meat. “My body doesn’t get animal protein so I have to make up for the loss of it,” he admits. He further adds, “Maintaining a six-pack is damn difficult. You need a lot of motivation and a lot of dedication for it. But thank God, I have plenty of it.”
Shahid’s online fitness video, which features his trainer Abbas Ali became a rage among his fans and other fitness freaks. The seven part video elaborates how Shahid maintains his fitness levels despite being on a vegetarian diet. So if you are worried about your vegetariandiet and still dreaming to have six-pack abs, here’s your way out,” he adds.
Shahid considers Salman Khan  and Deepika Padukone to be the most fit male and female actor respectively in Bollywood.
